Module 08 · Content Production Pipeline — Descript

The Signal

Every session you record is raw material. Descript turns it into a transcript that feeds the vault, a course module that serves students, and a content asset that reaches your audience — one recording, multiple outputs, automated.

Chapter 01

One Recording. Everything Else.

The 0300.ai methodology was built in predawn sessions — stolen hours where the creative work actually happens. That's where the IP lives. Not in polished documents, but in the raw thinking that happens when the world is quiet. The problem has always been capture: how do you extract the signal from those sessions without turning the extraction into a second job?

Descript solves this with one principle: record first, everything else follows. A 45-minute session becomes a transcript in minutes. That transcript feeds directly into the LlamaIndex ingestion pipeline, strengthening the vault with the latest thinking. It also becomes the raw material for a Ghost newsletter post, a course module draft, a short-form content clip — depending on what the session contains and where it belongs in the ecosystem.

The content production pipeline this module builds doesn't require a content calendar, a production team, or a planning session before every piece gets made. It requires one habit: record. The system handles the rest.

The best content in this ecosystem already exists. It happened at 3am when nobody was watching. Descript's job is to make sure it doesn't disappear with the morning.

Descript — The Pipeline

Content Production · $24/month
Descript
Audio · Video · Transcription · Editing · Vault Feed · Repurposing

Descript is an audio and video editing platform that treats the transcript as the primary interface. You edit the audio by editing the text — delete a word from the transcript, it disappears from the recording. This makes editing sessions fast enough to actually happen rather than being deferred indefinitely because editing is too slow.

For this ecosystem the transcription function is the critical feature. Every session recording, every course module, every podcast-style thinking-out-loud session gets exported as a clean transcript. That transcript goes into Obsidian, gets flagged for ingestion, and The Curator picks it up on the next 72-hour cycle. The vault grows every time you record. Your thinking today makes the intelligence layer smarter tomorrow.

Paid from day one. The free tier allows only one hour of transcription per month — insufficient for any real production cadence. At $24/month the paid tier provides unlimited transcription and the full editing suite. The free tier is acceptable for testing during the sprint setup. Switch to paid before the first real recording session.

The Full Pipeline

Record Once. Output Everything.

This is the complete content production flow from the moment you hit record to the moment the output reaches its destination — vault, Ghost, or audience.

01
Session Recorded in Descript
A thinking session, a course module walk-through, a strategic framework explanation, a narrative development session. Any recorded content that belongs in the ecosystem.
02
Descript Generates Transcript
Accurate transcription produced automatically. Light editing in Descript to remove filler words, false starts, and off-topic tangents. The clean signal extracted from the raw session.
03
Transcript Exported to Obsidian
Clean transcript saved to the correct Obsidian vault bucket. Tagged with session date, content type, and ecosystem category. Flagged for Curator ingestion.
04
Lindy Operator — Ingestion Trigger
New Obsidian content flag detected. LlamaIndex ingestion pipeline triggered. Transcript chunked, embedded, and added to Supabase vector store. Vault updated.
05
Content Added to Production Queue
Transcript also added to the Notion content production queue for editorial review. Flagged by content type: vault-only, Ghost post candidate, course module candidate, or clip candidate.
06
Output Routed to Destination
Ghost newsletter post, course module draft, short-form clip, or vault-only ingestion — each transcript routed to its highest-value destination based on content type.

What One Recording Becomes

One Input. Multiple Destinations.

A single 45-minute session recording can produce all of the following — not by doing more work, but by routing the transcript intelligently through the pipeline.

01
Vault Intelligence Update
The transcript ingests into Supabase via LlamaIndex. The vault gets smarter. Every future E-Suite query benefits from the thinking in this session. This output happens for every recording, always.
02
Ghost Newsletter Draft
The Architect queries the vault with the transcript as context and drafts a newsletter post in the Vonn Seacoast voice. Editorial review and refinement before publish. The thinking is already done — the writing is extraction, not creation.
03
Course Module Draft
Sessions that walk through a CreativeOps framework, a methodology concept, or a Causeway Nova narrative element become course module drafts. Structure applied, exercises added, Navigator context embedded.
04
Short-Form Content Clips
Descript identifies the highest-signal moments in the recording. Short clips extracted for distribution in owned channels. Each clip traces back to the full session in the vault — the depth is always accessible.
05
Session Intelligence Archive
Every transcript archived in the Session Intelligence bucket in Obsidian. The complete record of how the ecosystem's thinking evolved over time. Irreplaceable institutional memory that no platform owns but you.
1
Recording required to produce up to five distinct outputs
72h
Maximum time before a new transcript enters the vault
0
Additional sessions needed to keep the vault current
Sessions archived in the intelligence record over time

Build Checklist

[ ]
Create Descript account — paid tier
Under Cyber Coastlines LLC. Paid tier activated before the first production recording. Free tier acceptable for sprint setup and testing only.
[ ]
Configure Descript workspace and project structure
Projects organized by content type — Methodology Sessions, Course Modules, Causeway Nova, Strategic Sessions. Naming convention established and documented.
[ ]
Set up transcript export workflow to Obsidian
Export format standardized. Destination bucket per content type defined. Export naming convention matches Obsidian file naming convention. One test export confirmed landing correctly.
[ ]
Connect Descript export trigger to Lindy Operator
Transcript export triggers Lindy to flag the new Obsidian file for Curator ingestion and add it to the Notion content production queue. Tested end to end with a real recording.
[ ]
Run a complete pipeline test with a real session
Record a real 10–15 minute session. Export transcript. Confirm it lands in Obsidian, triggers Curator ingestion, appears in the Notion queue, and is searchable in the vault within 72 hours.
[ ]
Test vault query against new transcript content
After ingestion, query the vault with a question that should be answered by the new recording. Confirm retrieval returns the correct content. Pipeline is not complete until retrieval works.
[ ]
Document the content production workflow in GitHub
The complete pipeline — from record to vault to Ghost — documented clearly enough that a new team member could run it without explanation. Committed to the sprint repository.
Before Leaving This Module
Run the Full Cycle. Not Just the Setup.

The pipeline is not tested until a real recording has gone all the way through — Descript to Obsidian to LlamaIndex to Supabase to a successful vault query. Setting up the connections is not the same as confirming they work with real content. Record a session during the sprint. Export it. Watch it move through every stage. Query the vault against it. Only when that cycle completes cleanly is the content production pipeline ready to be handed off.
